Ruth Arion
German-Israeli painter (1912–1998)
Ruth Arion was a German-Israeli painter and enamel artist, born in 1912. Her life's work was deeply influenced by her experiences in the Land of Israel, where she spent several decades. As she moved throughout the region from the 1930s onwards, her artwork reflected the diverse landscapes and cultures she encountered.
Arion's contributions to the Israeli art scene extended beyond her own creative output. She was one of the founding members of Ein Hod Artists' Village, a community that brought together artists from various disciplines. Through her involvement in this initiative, Arion played a significant role in shaping the country's artistic landscape.
